Part 8: Stuck In A Straitjacket

AS IT TURNED OUT, I was once again wrong about the definitions of words used around here. I had assumed when the police told me they had a special location for me that it would be something very nice and comfortable! Maybe with a glass window overlooking the prison, and a television or something! But instead, I was dragged to a large cell below ground. Here, several strong men shoved me into a straitjacket and then tossed me into a cell, where several other inmates were suffering the same fate.

“Oh come on fellas,” I called out as they left. “We can work this out! It's just a misunderstanding!”

The door slammed shut. I was laying on the floor of the cell, with my arms pinned to my side in the straitjacket. The three other men in the room stared at me curiously.

“Hey there, how are you doing?” I asked.

“Wow, you are ugly!” one of the men commented.

Fantastic. This was going to be fun.

I got to my feet with some effort and walked to one of the walls and sat down. I was starting to get pretty frustrated. I had done my best to work with the Roblox Police Department, but I was clearly getting nowhere. Perhaps that whole, 'we're on the same side' thing wasn't as accurate as I had been led to believe. I was starting to think that some more drastic measures needed to be taken.

“Hey, Ugly, what are you here for?” asked a haggard old inmate who was sitting a few feet away.

“Oh,” I began. “You wouldn't believe the hassle I've been through today. First, my best friends were kidnapped, then I got arrested, then I beat up some prisoners, and now I'm here!”

“I see. What became of your friends?”

“I'm sure they're fine. Probably sitting on a shelf somewhere. I'm just worried about my pistol, Larry. If he gets worked up he can go off on his own.”

“Ohhh.... I see,” the old man said. “I had a similar problem with my car. Her name was Amanda and sometimes in traffic, she would get impatient and start ramming people! There was nothing I could do about it.”

I smiled pleasantly but didn't respond. A car named Amanda? This guy was clearly insane. It reinforced my feeling that I was going to need to get out of here, and quickly. I didn't want to catch whatever crazy disease that guy had.

But how? I was stuck in this straitjacket, with no real hope of escape! Then it hit me like a crazy ex-girlfriend. All I needed to get out of here was something small, like a bobby pin! I could pick the lock on my jacket and be out of here in no time! All I needed was the proper tool.

“Hey, crazy old man, when do they bring us food?”

“They feed us around noon, so in an hour.” the man replied.

Excellent. So I didn't need to wait long. For now, I could plan my grand escape strategy for retrieving my things and escaping this prison.
